We do not want your data. We want you to cook. No ads, no trackers, no analytics, no cookies, and nothing is ever sold or shared for marketing. That is the whole philosophy; the rest of this page is just detail.

On this website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers, which is why there is no cookie banner to click away. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so visiting here talks to no third parties at all.

Two small things are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only: your day/night theme choice, and which kitchen tips you marked as tried. They never leave your device and we cannot see them.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like every hosting provider, GitHub keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to run the service. We never see, collect or store those ourselves.

In the app

Without an account: every recipe, favourite, timer and shopping list lives in your browser's storage on your own device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. We cannot see your cookbook. Clearing your browser data deletes it, so use Settings, then Back up, if you want a safety copy.

With an account (optional): if you sign up to sync, we store your email address, your chosen username, and the recipes you sync or publish. That data lives with our database provider, Supabase, on servers in the United States, and is used for exactly one thing: making your cookbook appear on your other devices and making Explore work. Recipes you publish to Explore are public by design and shown with your username on them.

Timers and their notifications run entirely on your device.

What we never do

Sell or rent your data. To anyone. Ever.
Show ads or embed ad networks.
Run analytics or tracking scripts.
Read your recipes for "insights".
Send marketing email.

Your data, your call

You can export your whole cookbook any time from Settings, and delete anything locally whenever you like. If you have an account and want it and its cloud data gone completely, ask and it will be deleted, fully and promptly.

A dedicated contact address for privacy questions is being set up and will appear here. Until then, the maker reads everything that comes through the app.
